One ECT device maker, MECTA, just for bankruptcy in part because their insurance provider refused to insure them due to the number of present lawsuits from harmed patients.

Rather than acknowledge part of the reason there are so many lawsuits is due to their having marketed a device without first conducting and filing safety testing or electrical dosing limits with the FDA (or international equivalent). Instead they continue shirking responsibility, claiming that being held accountable for their own gross negligence is "targeted Harassment."

Psychiatrists are trained in medicine, not biophysics. Apparently this corporation needs help understanding bioethics of biophysics, too.
