This is the most significant development since we started our campaign – it is huge. Tiny Tickers have been listening to us for some time – but this material (published today) finally makes us feel like we’ve been heard. We couldn’t have hoped for anymore.
We’ll not repeat their comprehensive content here but it contains;

We’re grateful for the references / acknowledgement throughout and in the footnotes. It feels like this has validated our hard work over the last 20 months.
Helen’s legal paper is exceptional. It captures our thought process and that which we have been trying to convey through our petition and updates.
Helen and Anne’s poster presentation is designed so well and is visually engaging. We love the heart pin board of England which perhaps subtly flags a broad north / south divide in record retention practices. See what you think.
We recognise Tiny Tickers have worked tirelessly in this space for 25 years. We understand how much work will have gone into these documents, behind the scenes, consultation, presentation and all the work that will be needed in the future. We can now see a huge amount has been happening in the background which has taken Tiny Tickers time to address properly, accurately and sensitively.
We commend Tiny Tickers for their balance and progressive approach in navigating these sensitivities. We know there are stretched resources, limited finances and impossible demands placed on NHS workers already. We know charities work very closely with NHS partners and considerable improvements in detection rates have already been made over the last 25 years. We know all sonographers are trying their best and additional resources and more staffing are desperately needed. We’re grateful for the amazing work sonographers are already doing in such challenging times.
We believe today is a pivotal moment for CHD families and their care. We hope the sands will now finally begin to shift. We believe this published content from an established and respected body of professionals will influence some trusts to reconsider their local policy.
We have previously thanked everyone who have contributed to our campaign. Today all praise deservedly goes to the Tiny Tickers team. They are pioneers in improving screening services, detection rates and outcomes for children. Sincere thank you to Tiny Tickers for being the first to openly address this issue - we’re so grateful to everyone involved.
