It shows we're aware that no meaningful improvements have been made to these detection rates over the last decade - that detection rates have plateaued over the last six years.
It shows the CHD community is aware the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research has openly contradicted the NHS England FASP guidance in 2023 by suggesting heart views should now be retained.
We hope the petition will provide the confidence for expectant mother's to request their sonographer retains their cardiac views - regardless of local hospital protocol.
