A Step Towards Justice and Dignity: Your Support Is Urgently Needed

Dear CERESAV Family & Supporters,
This month has been one of both heartbreak and courage for the CERESAV family.
We recently registered four new acid attack cases  at Kiruddu Hospital namely, Sebagudde Experito, Babirye Martha, Musisi Kazibwe and Getrude.

Tragically, we lost Getrude due to the severity of her burns and unrelenting pain.
Her passing is a painful reminder of why our work must continue, and why your support means everything.

Three survivors; Sebagudde, Martha, and Musisi, are still admitted at Kiruddu Hospital, fighting for their lives. They urgently need:

Medical care and follow-up treatment for their burns 
Nutritional support to aid recovery, and
Emotional and psychosocial care to begin healing.
Your contribution today directly supports these survivors,  helping cover their food, medicines, and hospital care.

As part of our ongoing efforts, CERESAV is currently running a fundraising campaign under the 2025 International 16 Days of Activism Against Gender- Based Violence, themed “A Step Towards Justice and Dignity.”
Through this campaign, we aim to raise $15,000 to support survivors’ medical recovery, amplify their voices through media and community awareness activities, and strengthen advocacy to end acid violence in Uganda.

So far, with your help, we’ve raised $2,287-  15% of our goal. 
We need your support now more than ever to continue providing lifesaving care for survivors like Sebagudde, Martha, and Musisi.
