Critical Need Appeal from the CERESAV Team:

Our Dear Supporters and donors: CERESAV (Center for Rehabilitation of Survivors of Acid and burns Violence) is a small indigenous organization in Uganda which constantly depends on generous people who want to help victims of this horrifying type of violence to provide funds to help victims of acid attacks in many countries. We currently need to make an appeal for financial support to help an acid attack patient in the hospital in Mulago Burns Unit, Kiruddu-Uganda. A photo could be attached, but we do not wish to cause severe shock because it is very disturbing. We thank all our supporters for the support and prayers on behalf of our patients, especially Jane Kyazike, who recently went through successful surgery on 14 August 2017. Please continue to pray for healing, comfort, and peace during their recovery. We humbly appeal to you to help Jane through this very difficult time. She is going to require relatively expensive medications and supplements to get through this. She has a strong will to survive, but she does not have the money to afford all the medications and supplements she needs. Like many burns patients that the CERESAV team takes care of, Jane will require: • a consistently high nutrient diet to keep her well-nourished. • frequent wound dressings to keep her wounds from becoming infected. • a constant high intake of fluids to help flush the acid from her system as she recovers. • a constant supply of burn care cremes and ointments. Here's what your donations can do for Jane, and for others like her: $100 will provide sufficient food supplements to last a month. $50 will provide enough wound dressing materials to last a week $50 will pay for enough wound care cremes/ointments to last a week, depending on the severity of the wounds $20 buys sufficient drinks to last a week $15 buys one very important highly nutritious meal per day. CERESAV works to provide such support, but we depend entirely on your support to be able to do what we do for people like Jane Kyazike. Please consider making a donation here: http://ceresav.org/make-a-donation-2/ to this emergency appeal to help the CERESAV team stand with Jane along with other burns patients in Mulago Burns Unit at Kiruddu hospital. Follow us on Facebook (https://m.facebook.com/ceresav.org/) for the latest updates but again, some of the photos are disturbing. The CERESAV Team
