Our Social justice supporters. I am attaching the link here below to the new petition we are signing asking the 10th parliament of the Uganda government to draft/pass a separate Acid attacks control bill, a separate bill from the Toxic Chemicals prohibition control Bill which was passed following our first petition. https://www.change.org/p/uganda-parliament-join-the-movement-to-stop-acid-attack-violence-in-uganda?recruiter=45691822&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition While we are petitioning our government representatives to draft this bill, we cannot draft the bill ourselves as advocates/citizens/NGOs. It is the duty of our government representatives to draft/pass such bills/laws. Our duty as citizens or NGOs like ceresav is to advocate/lobby/petition our representatives to fulfill their obligations to the people they represent. Once our petition receives the needed support, like in the previous petition, a special drafts committee is created in the parliament to work on our highlighted concerns. This is the reason we need your support from around the world. This plays a central role in alerting our representatives that the world is watching. Please sign the new petition with us. Please share with your networks on all social. Edie platforms to sign with us. Hanifa Nakiryowa On behalf of the CERESAV Team
