Last month, two acid attack victims who CERESAV helped care for in Mulago Hospital, Jane and Justine, passed away from their burns. Justine’s perpetrator (her husband) is now in police custody. This is a promising sign, but in Uganda, perpetrators are often set free due to lack of evidence, often because the victim and their family could not afford a lawyer. CERESAV is working hard to ensure adequate police follow-up on cases. But we need YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to help grow our legal department.
