Hi everyone!

This morning the council has confirmed our petition has been accepted as an agenda item to be debated at the Public Health and Communities Policy Committee meeting on Friday the 16th of January. We will get 5 minutes to introduce the petition before the councillors discuss it. 

In addition to presenting the petition, people who live/work in Bristol can submit questions and statements to the policy committee meeting. Statements are published on the website and provided to the committee in advance so that they can take them into account while the issue is debated. Questions are given a written response after the meeting. It would be great to have as many additional statements and questions submitted to show the committee how we feel about this issue. All questions must be submitted by 5pm 3 working days before the meeting which is Tuesday 13th, so get them in as soon as possible. More details on how council meetings work can be found here.
