Dear community, 

We are very happy to see the amount of petition signers raising everyday and it gives us hope that the people care about the situation of Uyghur Muslims. Almost 1.7 million people have signed our petition "Stand Up For The Uyghur Muslims In China". Awareness is great but not enough, next to awareness raising we want to formulate concrete demands to politics and companies in the future, to obtain that the international community stop ignoring the biggest human right thread since 1945 and start acting – at least taking small steps.  

Together with a few organisations, we have written an open letter to the United Nations criticizing Chinese seat in the UN Human Right Council and calling the UN to appoint a special rapporteur for monitoring human right threads in Xinjiang/East Turkistan. You can read the open letter here. 

Two weeks ago, on the international day of human rights, in 30 cities worldwide activists reminded the People’s Republic of China of the Universal declaration of human Rights, pasting one article of this declaration in front of their local Chinese state representation. Out of these actions we created a video which promotes the open letter and its claim. We ask you to help us and to share this video to generate as much publicity as possible for our concrete claim. ➡ VIDEO

This might appear for many of you as symbol politics and we agree, that this isn’t the most radical claim to make, but it is a realistic one and could deliver a neutral report, which would be a foundation for a prosecution before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
