On Friday 28th July, Harjap Bhangal released the second part to this show, which you can view here:
Some of the main points highlighted in the show are as follows:
Sunday 23rd July
Sangat arrived at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Willenhall in support of Ronan and his family, but were met with hostility and violence by several individuals including the implicated committee members mentioned above, namely Harpreet Singh, Karanbeer Singh, Baldev Singh (son of Shingara Singh) and Jasvinder Singh (Jassi) . This resulted in injury to the Ronan supporters, launching an investigation by the authorities.
Thursday 27th July
An emergency committee meeting was held at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Willenhall to address the attack on Sunday 23rd July. The meeting also addressed the tarnishing of the Gurdwara’s reputation by the above mentioned committee members, who implicated the Gurdwara in Ronan’s case. After a heated debate and failed attempts at reforming the above implicated committee members, 10 hopeless and frustrated members of the committee resigned, namely:
1. Gurnam Singh - General Secretary
2. Santokh Singh Sidhu - Stage Secretary
3. Tarlochan Singh - Treasurer
4. Sukhdev Singh - Head of Langar Seva
5. Jarnail Singh - Sevadaar
6. Harmanpreet Singh - Langar Seva
7. Parvinder Singh - Langar Seva
8. Harbans Kaur - Langar Seva
9. Kulwant Kaur - Langar Seva
10. Jaskamal Kaur - Head of Panjabi School Seva
This has led the Gurdwara Management committee to be officially dissolved, leaving the following defiant committee members, unwilling to concede to the Sangat’s wishes:
1. Trustee Tirath Singh whose son was on trial for murder.
2. Vice General Secretary Shingara Singh who signed the character reference for Sukhman Shergill.
3. Sevadaars Harpreet Singh, Jassi Singh, Harwinder Singh and Karanbeer Singh who all support the character reference and supported Sukhman Shergill in court.
Friday 28th July
Sangat called into the show, expressing their disapproval of how things are being handled at the Gurdwara by the current committee and how a new committee should be formed with truthful, accountable and sincere individuals.
This is a Call to Action
A humble open invitation is given to all Sangat, far and wide to show their support in person by attending Guru Nanak Gurdwara Willenhall, Willenhall, WV13 2RD on Sunday 30th July at 10am.
Sangat will gather to complete the following tasks on the day:
1. Raise awareness of the corruption at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Willenhall.
2. Peacefully remove the corrupt committee members.
3. Choose a new and just committee.
4. Do Ardas to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji asking for forgiveness for the hurt caused and for better understanding in managing the Gurdwara going forward.
Sangat Ji please remember, You are form of the Guru. Together we can make changes happen. If we remember the Guru and their teachings, then they are Present and are with us throughout any difficulty.
