Petition updateRule Against Racial Discrimination in New MexicoContinued Harassment & Refusal to Mediate

A recent reply filed by Santa Rita Land and Cattle suggested that a Cibola County Deputy be allowed to conduct an inspection to assess the value of improvements. AFTER they've been made aware of the ongoing harassment, discrimination and racism toward our family by the local and corrupt law enforcement. This completely disregards the fact that Sheriff's Deputies are not trained, do not have experience or a license that confirms they have the ability to assess the value of real estate improvements. This is nothing more but an attempt to claim that my husband and I are criminals that need a DEPUTY to inspect the property. Another attempt to say "What are they hiding on the property" in the assumption that people of color are doing "criminal things" on a property just because they don't want racist police officers to know where they live, where their belongings are and where our well is at.

Additionally, Santa Rita Land and Cattle is making a push to get on the property to conduct this inspection when they've skipped over the Court's requirement to mediate this issue for TWO FULL YEARS. They should have made an attempt to mediate before filing any legal motions against us in the first place, that was NOT DONE. The Court made an order in January 2020 requiring all parties to mediate and as of September 2020, Santa Rita has either refused to mediate with us via the court-appointed mediator and has 1) attempted to get us to submit a settlement proposal directly to them instead of going through the court-appointed mediator and 2) have ignored the mediators request for settlement terms going on 3 weeks now.

We are asking that you please continue to share this petition. We have been enduring this retaliation and harassment, not only from Santa Rita, but from their representation, the Court, the County Clerk's Office, the Sheriff's Department and a racist Confederate militia in Fence Lake, NM. We will continue to fight and be LOUD AS HELL about all the illegal activity this court case is revealing. Not just at a private business level but also within the Court and the Sheriff's department in Cibola County New Mexico. HELP US REACH 10,000 signatures!
