Stand Against Hate in Mansfield ISD

La causa

As a mother and proud member of the Mansfield ISD community, I am deeply disturbed and disappointed by the decision of three incumbent school board members to invite Bo French to our community to rally voters in their re-election bid.

Bo French has repeatedly made hateful, racially divisive statements that harm and endanger the very students and families our school district is meant to serve. Most recently, he exploited the tragic murder of a Frisco teen to spread false and hateful claims, including saying that Black males commit 544% more violent murders than whites—a dishonest claim meant to mislead and to sow fear and racial discord. This also can lead to increased danger in how black males are treated in our district.

Our school board should be a model of leadership, compassion, and unity. They are elected to represent and protect the entire community—not to align themselves with individuals who stoke hate and division for political gain. When our leaders stand beside someone who spreads harmful rhetoric, they are not standing with our children and are misrepresenting what MISD stands for. They are not standing with Black families. They are not standing with Mansfield ISD families.

If these board members truly care about the values of equality for all, safety, and respect in our schools, they must reject hateful ideologies—not give them a platform by hosting Bo French.

Our children are watching. Our community is watching. And we deserve better.
If you believe our board members should reject such hateful rhetoric about our children, from Bo French or anyone else, please sign this petition.
