Dr. Flege has long been enamored with the "how doctors die" concept. In recent years, he spoke often of his wishes on this matter to me and to others. He did not want to be locked up in a nursing home on psychotropic drugs. His financial situation is such that this is not necessary. We spoke at length about the article below and many others over the years. From the article: "The front door at Dr. McKinley‘s big house was wide open recently. Friends and caregivers came and went.
