Once again, we’re witnessing another rescue being harassed, defamed, and pushed to the brink. This time, it’s reached an unimaginable level — so severe that the woman behind the rescue is now considering closing her doors for good.

She’s been forced to move, retain legal counsel, and involve the police after enduring death threats, false reports to child protective services, and a relentless smear campaign — all rooted in personal vendettas.

Yes, she made a mistake. She trusted a pet sitter she had used many times before, and unfortunately, that trust backfired. But she has owned that mistake and taken steps to address it. And let’s be clear: none of us are perfect. We are all human. One misstep — especially one not made in bad faith — should never lead to threats against your life or your children.

Reporting a concern to authorities is one thing. But what’s happening now is not about accountability. It’s about cruelty, retaliation, and harassment.
