First off I want to sincerely Thank Paige and Ebony from Change.org who made the trip to Canberra to support our cause. This was greatly appreciated.
And to Andrew Wilkie and his team, Millie, Liam, Bridget..
We had a few supporters show up, Carly, Helen, Rhys, Lisa, Scot, Lee-Ann, Persia and 2 other ladies who came a bit later, I don’t have their names.
We did the media part, I am not a public speaker, so I was extremely nervous, but I believe Andrew, Paige and myself all got our message across, then came time for the delivery to parliament…
The petition has to go through the petitions office before it can be delivered to parliament, Andrew’s team only became aware of that during the delivery.
So now I’m just waiting to find out how we go forward with this petition. I was going to close it however Change.org have offered me to keep it going as no victory has been declared. I will update everyone once I know more 🧡🖤
If we can continue to get signatures, that’s terrific, every person who signs this is saying they truly believe ALL Live Animal Export should end and that is our aim, nothing less.
The next Stand Against Live Animal Export Awareness Day will be the 5th of December, we need to get as many paper petitions signed too..
