In such a strange and unpredictable time our government is still allowing Live Animal Exports. Oh I should add Live Animal Exports are not the ONLY Animal Abuse that continues during this pandemic.
One would think that Horse Racing and Greyhound Racing would be stopped considering the state of the employment problems we are facing.
People who have gambling problems who have just lost their job, they can still have a bet - who knows where they’ll get the money to feed their abusive addiction. Ironically when the horses jump, they have Jockeys on their back, I doubt they’d be 1.5m apart. I have a sneaking suspicion the reason Live Animal Exports, Horse Racing and Greyhound Racing haven’t stopped is BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT WOULD LOSE BACK DOOR MONEY and they couldn’t forego their “extra” income.
The LIVE Animal Export Ships would contain so many viruses from the shit the animals stand in during their voyage “oh but they clean the ships” what a laugh, so if they clean and disinfect the ships, where does that polluted liquid go...into the waterways. (YES HEAD SLAP HERE)....
The workers on these ships would not constantly adhering to the hygiene standards that are currently required to end this PANDEMIC.
They say this virus lasts longer on stainless steel and metal surfaces, so these ships are far from safe and are more likely to carry the virus but apart from ALL of that, these beautiful animals are still subjected to the worse fate imaginable....STAND AGAINST LIVE EXPORTS!!
Please everyone stay safe, use the proper hygiene techniques and follow the medical experts advice. These animals need every single one of us alive and healthy to be bale to continue to fight for them...
I’ve spoken to the Events team in Sydney and there is a huge possibility that even if we are allowed to hold the protest, we won’t be able to hand out flyers or stickers for now. I will keep everyone up to date...
PLEASE now is the time to write letters to the government, the opposition (who need to know millions of people want this issue to be an election issue), media and anyone who will think about it.
