As most of you are aware I’m holding an Awareness/Protest day on the 7th of March 20. We will meet at Martin Place, near the Lindt Cafe at 9:45, at around 10:am we will march and protest (like we usually do) to Town Hall. I have plenty of banners, flyers and stickers, you do not need to bring anything.

Live Exports have ramped up again, the number of Cattle that have been exported from Townsville in January are 34,327, NO reprieve for the animals and now they are looking to overturn the Northern Summer Ban, it is relentless!!!

Again I am trying to get this petition accepted into the senate. I have sent emails to certain people, I’m just waiting for a reply. Last time I was told it would not be accepted because it is the 2 petitions combined and the original petition was not addressed properly but I’ve altered it, so let’s hope they look at it differently this time.

As for the petition, I will be winding this up soon. I said that last year but many people asked how they would keep up to date. I have a bit of a newsletter that I email to around 6000 people, this informs them of the upcoming protest days and if anything else important is happening. If you would like to be included in the newsletter, (3 monthly it usually goes out,) please email me at sunlily36@gmail.com and include the email address you'd like the Newsletter sent to. I use a company called Benchmark, it is highly protected, I’ve never had any problems with them. But it will be your responsibility to let me know if you change your email. It also has an unsubscribe option for those who decide to opt out.

Anyway I hope to see more supporters at the next Awareness Day, if anyone wants some free stickers or flyers to hand out in your own area, I’m happy to post some free of charge, we just need to get them out there...xxx
