I JUST WANT TO SAY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO THE INCREDIBLE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE EFFORT ON SATURDAY. Especially to Edith. Edith worked till 1am (in Aged Care), slept in her car at work so she didn’t have to drive the hour plus drive home and be able to meet me at 6:45am to help me get the gear to Martin Place (Edith is over 70 years old), such an amazing, caring woman. Thank you for being at every Protest I’ve held Edith xx

To have 2 petitions with close to 300,000 signatures and between 20-40 supporters make the effort, it does make me feel many people don’t think it is a serious issue or serious enough to make the trek to Sydney CBD to support the animals.

I do have to say I was gutted with the lack of supporter attendance. I understand many people live too far away, had previous plans or just couldn’t be bothered. However the Rocks Police said it was a terrific protest and they had seen protest far bigger than ours that have not gotten through to the public...so hopefully we raised a lot of awareness.

The agriculture department has decided to send animals during the   Month of May.

This in itself is an actor defiance and just another lie to add to the list.

It was not even 6 months ago that David Littleproud stated the animals would not ship during the northern summer months, yet a change of priorities (money) spells stress, pain and horrific deaths for the sheep. But after Saturday’s effort I’m feeling less and less positive that we can end live exports. If you’ve ever organised an event or party where people have not turned up or bothered to let you know it is a bitter pill swallow.

This does not mean I’m giving up but I am asking - NO PLEADING that people please start contacting your local MP’s, State MP’s, The Ag department, Bill Shorten and Scott Morrison], PLEASE tell them you will not vote for a party who is not against live exports. Regardless of whether you will vote for them or not, they need to know we take animal cruelty seriously.

ALSO ANYONE WITH A STAND AGAINST LIVE EXPORTS ORANGE T SHIRT WHO IS VOTING SOON, PLEASE WEAR IT TO THE POLLING BOOTH.

I’m having a bit of a break from protesting, as much as I’d be happy to do more protesting, I get the feeling the supporters are losing their keenness.                                                                                         Thinking of the vast number of animals who will be shipping shortly makes me feel ashamed, numb and devastated.
