Petition updateStand Against ALL Live Animal Exports!CANCELLED. 3rd November Awareness Day.

I have to cancel my Protest/Awareness Day this Saturday due to my health, I’m really unwell at the moment.

Also I received a letter from Animals Australia stating that they have had feedback from some supporters that they are unhappy with the way I call out politicians and the tone of the protest march in Canberra.

While I’d like to apologise to anyone who was offended or upset with what I’ve said or done, I won’t change. I say it as I see it, if I think BJ is a tool that’s MY opinion!

I strongly believe in freedom of speech and if I believe something is wrong, I will speak out - right or wrong.  You see I’m an individual fighting Against Live Export, I’m not governed by political agendas or donations.                                                                                                            Although I do receive some donations, at NO time have I asked for them and NEVER will.

Animals Australia have also said they cannot promote my awareness day as they feel it isn’t a strategic plan. The low number of supporters who attend my rallies is more detrimental than helpful.

I understand totally what they are saying, however I’m more about raising awareness and not so much protesting. The more people who know about this, the bigger the chance of ending it.

I will say I’m extremely disappointed with those supporters who contacted Animals Australia and did not have the respect to contact me and inform me of their feelings about the “tone” of the protest march.                                                                                                                                   So for now I’m cancelling this Saturday’s awareness day and instead focusing on the Australia Post letter drop.

I’ve spoken to the printing company and the flyers will be here by Friday.  So to all those people who have asked to receive some flyers, I have a list and I will send them on Monday or Tuesday next week.

I’m really sorry if you planned to come along this weekend but this health issue can potentially be quite serious and I’ve been ignoring it.  I’ve become so focused on ending Live Exports, my health has taken a beating.

Anyway please accept my apology for Saturday but If you had planned to go there is an awareness day about the Dog/Cat meat trade being held in Pitt St Mall from 11-2. This is another cruel and torture trade, i know they would really appreciate all the support they can get. If I wasn’t so ill, I’d definitely go to this awareness day...

 Love Always, Lisa xx
