As most of you would know by now, on Tuesday (16/10) I went to Parliament House. Finally this petition has been submitted, however it was not submitted as a petition but presented as a document.
I presented it to Mehreen Faruqi who is a Greens Senator. Please in no way feel I’m endorsing the Greens.
I just wanted EVERY person who signed this petition to know I’m doing everything I can to have your time and effort recognised. I sincerely appreciate the fact that so many people are Against Live Export.
The document was to be tabled Tuesday afternoon but I could not stay to witness it, so I’m unsure if it has been tabled, apparently it has. I did see a bit of footage where the lovely man in the maroon jacket was piling them up behind Mehreen, but when I saw her speak she was talking about the White supremacy and NOT Live Export.
Apparently Mehreen was allowed to table the documents (22 Volumes) BUT the “government” rejected her the opportunity to have her 2 minutes talk relating to it.
I wish I knew how to explain this better but I don’t and probably will never understand Parliament.
I’ve spoke to Maliha (Mehreen Faruqi’s PA) who tells me the footage of it being tabled should be available sometime next week.
Since then more bad news has come to light, Scott Morrison has given the go ahead for KLTT a Live Exporting company to ship from Australia. Over 1.5 million sheep had perished with this company already. So please start hitting the phone lines, emails and written letters.
And the beetroot (Barnaby Joyce) is rearing his ugly mug again with talks of him returning to a leadership role in the news.
How do these cretins keep getting away with their lies and deceit? Karma if you are out there, this government seriously need to be head slapped (and more) and we the Aussie public will cheer loudly.
The 20,000 flyers should be ready this week, so they will be sent to households in Australia via Australia Post, if by some chance you receive one, please pass it on to someone else...sharing is caring.
