I’m sure most of you would be aware, yesterday the senate passed a bill to have live Exports banned, however this still has a way to go before it is completely official. Not that I pretend to understand politics but the lower house has to pass it before it becomes law. That’s how I understand it anyway (I’m sure if I’m wrong, someone will quickly point it out). Emailing ALL politicians is still a great idea.

At least we know this is finally becoming a much talked about issue and THEY know we won’t roll over (unlike some politicians - Sussan Ley and Sarah Henderson). No amount of money would stop me fighting against this, as Peter Kerkenezov stated “Live Export is Unethical” and I’m adding ”like many politicians”.

As for the “NoAware” Day (flyer distribution) set down for the 3rd of November, I’m not too sure it will be happening, well not in WA, SA or Vic. The reason being Insurance - public indemnity Insurance to be exact. It seems no one will cover me although I’m still waiting on one company to get back to me. However I’m considering doing an Australia Post Flyer Distribution (20,000 Flyers) instead and just doing a protest outside Sydney Town Hall on the 3rd of November with the possibility of Hobart, Launceston and Brisbane being involved (no public indemnity Insurance needed for these locations).

The Aust Post Flyer distribution is quite costly but after doing research it is the best way to advertise, even better than TV, that’s why many big businesses do it. The flyer gets delivered with their mail. But I’ll wait to hear from this insurance company first.

The other reason I have not been replying to many emails, messages and posts on the petitions is I had a mini breakdown last week, knowing the sheep shipments were starting again and I received a few nasty messages - I could not control my emotions, I started to feel I was betraying the animals by not being vegan and I needed time out. 

To those people who donated recently into the SALE bank account, I’m so sorry I have not contacted you individually but I am extremely grateful for every single cent donated. I wish those animals knew how many people are fighting for them. PLEASE KNOW ALL DONATIONS ARE SPENT ON THIS CAUSE AND THIS CAUSE ONLY. 

I will contact the insurance company tomorrow if I’ve not heard from them, I need to start organising the permits (if the NoAware day still goes ahead) and time is ticking. xx
