Encourage Stanborough Lakes to promote safe feeding of wildfowl
The Issue
We would like Stanborough Lakes to support the motive to feed the wildfowl safe foods.
To discourage the feeding of bread, and to instead promote the safe feeding of bird seed and other safe food such as corn, peas.
The feeding of bread leads to:
- Health problems in the wildfowl - such as angel wings and deficiency.
- Pollution of the lakes.
Please take action, as neighbouring boroughs have done so effectively and place educational no bread feeding signs around the lakes.
A place to purchase bird seed from at an affordable price for visitors would also help to discourage the feeding of bread.
