Restore vital bus services across South Staffordshire

The County Council has recently announced that it will no longer be supporting several bus services across the region from April. This will have a highly negative effect on residents, particularly those who work weekends and rely on public transport. To see these changes visit: https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/transport/publictransport/buses/Bus-review/Options/The-chosen-option.aspx

These changes include scrapping funding for the South Staffs Connect bus service. Alongside others, the following services in South Staffordshire will be affected:

1)  2E (Cannock – Cheslyn Hay-Gt Wyrley-Walsall) will no longer operate on Sundays and bank holiday evenings

2)  16 (Essington – Bloxwich) will no longer operate on a Tuesday and Friday excluding Bank Holidays

3)  70 (Cannock-Wolverhampton) will no longer operate on Sundays and Bank Holidays

4)  76A (Stafford - Penkridge – Wolverhampton) will no longer operate on Sundays & Bank Holidays

Please sign my petition if you are against these changes. I will present the results to the Chief Executive of Staffordshire County Council with the hope that these changes can be reversed.
