We the undersigned call on Stafford Borough Council to provide the funds necessary to launch a legal challenge against the downgrade of acute services at Stafford Hospital.  

The Borough Council has been very vocal in its support for the campaign to save acute services at Stafford Hospital and done much to facilitate various events to that end.  For that we are grateful.  But now we need them to stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this final hour.

From the very beginning of the Trust Special Administrator process in Stafford, it was apparent that the only real hope we had of saving our acute services would be in the High Court.  Ignored by the TSA, unsupported by the local Clinical Commissioning Group and condemned by Jeremy Hunt, everything over the past twelve months has been geared towards our big day in court and our opportunity to finally have our voice heard on the national stage.  So, Stafford Borough Council, don’t abandon the people of Stafford now as we approach this final, crucial hurdle in the hard-fought battle to save our hospital.
