During the first week of November 2017, seven dogs were removed from Help the Animals Inc. of Richmond Indiana. According to Help the Animal’s new director Jamie Glandon, they were taken to a rescue that worked with dogs to make them more adoptable. However, she has refused to tell anyone where she took them. The staff and volunteers at Help the Animals Inc. cared deeply for these 7 dogs. Help the Animals Inc. mission statement is as follows: “We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless pets until they can be placed in responsible, loving homes”. Many concerned citizens who have either supported help through monetary donations, donated items, or volunteered their time, have made several attempts to contact members of the Board of Directors as well as their new shelter director Jamie Glandon, to no avail. They have either been met with a direct refusal from Ms. Glandon as to where the 7 missing dogs are, or have received no reply to phone calls, messages, and emails sent to the board of directors, including the board president. All we want to know is what rescue Cupcake, Princess, Red, Ben, Whylie, Si, and Vance were taken to. We would also like to see pictures of them at their new rescue as proof that they are in fact alive and well. We ask as members of the community who have supported Help the Animals Inc. over many years to be transparent, as they rely on our dollars and our time to keep their doors open.
