In 2021 when she was at Upstate/Community involuntarily for treatment she was released into a post treatment program called AOT Assisted Outpatient Treatment. A team of Upstate doctors and Social Workers worked with her to insure she was going to a safe place to live and they assigned a Case worker to check on her weekly to make sure she was taking her medication and healing. The AOT ended in October of 2022. The system failed on her follow ups due to Covid, she slipped through the cracks and relapsed during g the provisional period of 6 months to automatically renew.
St Joe's was able to hold her involuntarily for 2 weeks, why didn't they take the steps necessary to reinstate the AOT before releasing her? Why did Judge Antonacci rule against the Doctors recommendation?
She is severely manic again and living with known drug dealers in vacant homes in Syracuse.
We refuse to give up hope for her. Our family is advocating for her life. We will not stop. There has to be an answer to help her and we are determined to find it.
