Allow St John Vic workers to bargain for better working conditions. Its their legal right.
The issue
St John Victoria employs Patient Transport Officers (PTO) and Ambulance Transport Attendants (ATA) who perform vital patient transport in Victoria. They take the strain off emergency departments and emergency ambulance crews by transporting patients to and from hospitals. They play an essential role in reducing emergency ambulance response times and ambulance ramping.
St John Victoria employees have a legal right to bargain with their employer and be represented by their Union. However St John Vic management will not engage in good faith negotiations with the Ambulance Union.
Tell St John Ambulance Victoria CEO Stephen Horton to allow their staff to bargain for better wages and conditions and be represented by their union. Its their legal right.
