This is the current Broadband Prices and Speed Logic of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT),

"512Kbps Kilobits per second" is Rs.1600/ But "8Mbps Megabits bits per second" is Rs.1490/.

Currently the Sri Lanka Telecom broadband package "Home Package" which never had a data usage limit got a 25GB data limit about 2 years ago, but the 512kbps speed has never changed. Let’s say for justice to other internet users the addition of fair user policy (FUP) is ok, still why is the price of the "Home Package" which has a speed of 512kbps more expensive than the "Web Family Package" which has a speed of 8Mbps and a 35GB data limit (FUP).

This "Home Package" even though SLT has changed the name of the package many times over the years, SLT has not changed the speed of this package since about 2002, so I guess it pointless asking now after 12 years to increase the speed.

I ask SLT to either REDUCE the Home Package monthly rental price according to the internet speed or INCREASE the monthly data (FUP) limit according to the overpriced monthly rental price.
