As we all know, Square Enix has offered vanity items and other optional services in the Mog Station for quite some time. All of these items do not directly change the balance or power of a individual inside the game world. 

Last year, in march (03/27/2014), Square Enix added a new optional service to allow players to hire additional Retainers within the game world. Charging $2.00 a month for each one hired. Up to a max of 4 total retainers. (2 more than the allowed by default in the game)

The reason for this petition's timing, is that in the new expansion for the game, players are now allowed to hire up to 6 additional retainers. (8 total, 6 more than default) Obviously, Square Enix has seen a demand for more Inventory, and instead of solving the inherit problem that players already have been pleading, the same players whom pay a subscription of 14.99 a month for them to run the game. 

Square Enix is not only double dipping into a Subscription based market, but is now double dipping into what Free2Play games do, and in the worst way possible. 

I, and many others, believe that this is a pay2win service. Allowing some players who opt for it to gain more; Market Board selling power, more Venture missions at a time, and more item storage.

I believe pay2win services are against the nature of what an MMO RPG should be and therefore started this petition.
