Recently, Get Surrey have had a couple of articles regarding the use of Oyster in Surrey. I have made my comments to them and we will keep campaigning to South West Trains because we ought to be considered. I note that Epsom has no been given the go ahead which is disappointing. Why will these train companies not listen to their customers? I understand that the appeal to them is small as essentially it would cost some money and reduce fares, but they are not increasing the services for the millions of people who use the trains every year. There are more commuters than ever before, with people working until they are older, and thousands of young people in work, the amount of money they must be making is obscene! Why is it that 3 days in a week I get on a 5 coach train, because the other end is broken??!! London is spreading so why can't the TFL zones?!! We will keep campaigning. Hopefully with the renewal for the license, SWT will see that we are desperate for zone 6 and the use of Oyster, and will satisfy their customers! Their Smart Card system will not help anyone wanting to travel by tube once in the city. Southern rail seem to have seen the light by allowing Oyster in the near future to travel up to Gatwick, what about us!! I live 2 miles from LONDON Heathrow, yet no Oyster!!!! Keep sharing and commenting on social media regarding this subject. Letting our MP know also how much you support the campaign is also essential. Olivia
