3,000 SIGNATURES & Updates on the Current Situation

Hey everybody! We've been meaning to post an update for a while, but the growth has been so amazing that every time we write one up, a new milestone is hit! Thank you for all your support, it has been crazy, and this petition is now trending on Change.org! We're about 113 signatures short, but everyone should be in the loop, so this is counting as our 3,000 signature update. To everyone who has signed and shared this petition, THANK YOU. This isn't going to be easy, but all this support is what keeps us fighting to the very end.

Before we discuss the newest information on Mr. Cromer, we have to give a massive congratulations to everyone in the class of 2019 who graduated today. Troupe 3963's own Daisy Chaskin had an amazing performance, and we're all so happy to see what everyone does next! To quote Dr. Seuss, "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go."

Now onto what's new. William Latson, the principal of SRHS, has been turning down all parent and student meetings about the Cromer decision. Emails haven't been as much of a help either, with many either being ignored, or responded to with a simple claim of confidentiality. And yes, there are some elements which cannot be disclosed, but that doesn't excuse complete radio silence on an issue that has thousands of people upset. Some people have already begun to reach out to higher-ups, but the information they're providing conflicts the information from Latson. While they claim that there will be guaranteed a second teacher next year for the sake and security of the department, Latson has been speaking on the contrary to this statement. If the funds are there for another teacher as well, that would dock another possible reason to let go of Mr. Cromer.

Latson isn't listening to us. All of your emails, all of your phone calls, all of your pleas are being ignored. So the only way to go is up. If Latson isn't going to listen, let's go to people above him who will and have the authority to investigate this whole ordeal. We need one answer, and we need it to be the right answer.
