Greetings, Hot Toddies!!! It has been a VERY long time since you last heard from me, the creator of the petition hoping to get a 3rd season of Todd & the Book of Pure Evil. We did not get what we wanted, though we tried as best as we could. Our show was taken away from us in 2012. However, in 2013, the creators bestowed upon us ONE CHANCE to get more Todd. It would be up to us to help make it happen. They launched an Indiegogo campaign in hopes of raising enough funds to at least make an animated feature film - which they did! If a significantly larger amount of money was raised, they would have made a live action movie. Not nearly enough money was raised for that, but I was so relieved and happy that we would be getting an animated movie. I could not believe it! This is a first in Canadian television history! Bomb Girls got a television movie shortly after being canceled and Corner Gas had a movie with a theatrical release which also airs on tv now. BUT, OUR movie was already an idea before either of these things happened! Those two movies may have been RELEASED first, but OURS was planned first!!! Bomb Girl fans did not have to suffer! WE DID!!! If anybody ever tries to tell you that Todd & the Book of Pure Evil did not create history, set them straight with the facts!!! The original plan was to have the movie released in 2014. Well, it took just a *wee* bit longer to have the movie completed and ready for a theatrical release. In 2017, which is what it is, 4 years after the Indiegogo campaign was launched, Todd & the Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End was finally seeped out into the world! I am lucky to have seen it twice. I know there were special screenings in major Canadian cities recently, so some of you may have seen it. I personally enjoyed it and I think you will, too. I know some of you who contributed to the Indiegogo campaign are pretty pissed off with how long it took for the movie to come out. Yes, it was a long wait, but your money was not stolen. It was used for what it was meant to be used for. It took a long time because animation takes a really long time and the creators of the show had to work on other things to make an income and they are raising children, so they were not able to devote all their time to making the movie.
