I believe that it is important that the professional forward thinking football club, such as Southampton FC, should not only focus on its fantastic academy for the men's team, but also fund the ladies team and support the girls set up from an early age. 

I believe that the club close to my heart should lead the way and create a fantastic ladies football team to go with the men's team, which are being seen as the correct way to operate a football club in England. 

With more females watching football, it also sends out the right messages to the rest of the country as well as supplying the support for females to get involved at such a great club, that are on the verge of greatness and respectability. 

I believe that taking these steps will send out a very positive message to the footballing world and help close the gender gap in this great sport. It would also continue to show that Southampton FC are one of the most forwarding thinking clubs.
