Hi all,

By now I was hoping we would have some goods news on the station lifts. However, we seem to just have - no news - and worries are starting to creep in. We have been waiting for the present BCP administration to confirm funding with SWR and Network Rail. We have been assured this will happen, but this was a long time ago. Our local cllrs Andy Jones and George Farquhar have both asked questions of officers and Portfolio holders (basically the senior councillors responsible for transport).
Most recently Cllr George Farquhar asked a question at 'Full Council' but this was not answered by Cllr Greene. I have followed this up and asked why this was not answered, and yet to receive an update from Cllr Greene, the Cabinet Portfolio holder for Transport. To date we have had no reply since 27th September which is odd to say the least.

What next? We will resubmit the question and the original petition at the next full council. This is quite ridiculous we have to do this but we have hit yet another brick wall... but hopefully we will have a reply before then.
