Petition Closed

Since August 2010, Town Council members have been discussing whether electronic LED signs should be allowed in certain business districts. These signs could be located on Old Tower Hill Road and on Route 108 from the Camden's Bowling Alley to Rhody Joe's and on Route 108 from 138 to the police station.

Allowing these signs will drastically change the look of our town. These signs are aesthetically unappealing, can cause driver distraction, and are not in line with the charm and character of South Kingstown. That charm and character is one of South Kingstown’s most valuable assets. It is the very reason so many tourists visit South Kingstown and support our local economy.

Support the continued ban on LED signs in South Kingstown.
