Equal Appraisals for Minorities

The Issue

                                                      ! Unfair Appraisals !

Now is the time to act on injustice.

Why are we targeted? Minorities receive unfair treatment regarding property appraisals. If you are a minority, which you are, you are enduring the same discrimination.

But why? Is it because we are black? Is it because we are perceived as ignorant or not knowing any better?

This is an appeal to all minority homeowners around the Tri-County area and abroad in attempt to cease unfair treatment and to change the law.

When we come together and stand in volume, we will be heard. We must protest in large numbers to strengthen our power. My colleagues and I own millions of dollars’ worth of real-estate. Instead of focusing on just ourselves, we are representing all African Americans.

It is a shame to know that those who represent us are minority individuals, and they fail to speak up for us.  The reason being, they are afraid to go against the hand that feeds them. Our representatives must realize that they must make decisions to benefit the people because they work for the people. We, as tax payers, are entitled to fair and equal treatment. The value of our property is at stake because our representatives could care less. Since they are not affected, we must surpass them and take further action for our cause.

That is why we need independent representatives who are not relying on the system.

We are not only acting here in Charleston, but across the United States. We are affected nationally, not just locally.

Our aim is to be able to educate each other as to why this is happening. We are being treated unjustly so that we will not have economic power. With economic power and real-estate means that we will be independent of the system.

To substantiate our claim, we have been business leaders for over 40 years and currently have other 50 employees.

We would like to meet with our representatives and those that are affected to make a change.
