The Issue
Our income as private practitioners has gone down drastically due to the cancellation of elective cases during the National lockdown.
We pay monthly premiums for income protection, but the insurance companies tell us that they can only supplement our income if we test positive for COVID-19.
Our practice staff can’t claim UIF as they are classified “essential service”.
