The South African National Defense Force plans to cull 746 animals at various military bases and camps in South Africa.

These animals include giraffe, zebras, wildebeest, waterbucks, and impala.

Giraffe are currently considered as a vulnerable species.

The SANDF plans to pay a service provider to kill these animals. There was no effort made to determine if there is an alternative, more humane method to remove the animals from the military bases.
