Stop Xenophobic attacks in South Africa

This petition had 72 supporters

We are calling upon the people of South Africa to work together in bringing an end to the current Xenophobic violence.

We are calling upon the South African government to swiftly bring an end to the Xenophobic attacks. Additionally to address the social-economic problems that are being used as a scapegoat for the on-going Xenophobic attacks.

We are calling upon Cultural and Religious leaders, elders, opinion leaders among others to actively participate in condemning these Xenophobic attacks.

We are calling upon all security agencies and the legal system to effectively and efficiently penalise all those behind these Xenophobic attacks.

We are also calling upon World leaders to come together in condemning the on-going Xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

South Africa has developed as a country through struggles that claimed many of its people to create what has commonly become known as the Rainbow nation.

Many people from many countries have seen and regarded South Africa as a safe haven to escape to from persecution in their homelands.

Thus it is of great concern to us to see the Rainbow nation being turned backward through deadly Xenophobic attacks on innocent foreigners in a country that was built on the foundation of Ubuntu, tolerance, acceptance, welcoming, equality, togetherness.

There is no justification for mob violence against innocent people and the current situation must be dealt with by the government at the soonest opportunity to re-establish peace and harmony between all people in South Africa.
