My fellow law-abiding citizens, we are Twenty Five Thousand Friends of Democracy in South Africa. Well done! It is a humble beginning for a just cause. This weekend I had a long and extensive telephone conversation with Neil de Beer of the United Independent Movement. We are both warriors, and exchanging stories of when we were on opposing sides came naturally. As soldiers, we chose different paths, I served the SANDF and Neil served MK. In 1994 Neil's side won the war, not the kinetic war, but the information war, political war, and the moral war. Apartheid simply was not a sustainable political model.
Fast forward twenty-six years and now Neil finds himself on the losing side of the war. The ANC has lost its moral compass and for this reason, Neil decided to leave the ANC. He left the ANC just like every one of us that voted in the 1992 whites-only referendum turned our backs on Apartheid and what was clearly wrong.

Here is what Neil and I agreed on Saturday 10 October 2020:
1) Cyril Ramaphosa will be held fully accountable for the lack of security and safety in this country. Keep an eye on the Burger and the Rapport for more on this.
2) Julius Malema and the radical members of the EFF that divide our country with hatred will be dealt with to the full extent of the law. This is a common mission.
3) A nationwide campaign is required to educate and help all citizens of South Africa navigate the political landscape before the next general election in 2024.
We do not seek war if it can be avoided and in this cause, Neil de Beer is my ally. We have both seen war and wish to avoid war at all costs. No-one will benefit from civil conflict and many innocent people will pay in blood for what could have been avoided.
Therefore I am asking you to give Neil de Beer your time, not your trust, and not your forgiveness. Just the time to prove himself to us.
