The white rhino population has been decimated by 67% percent and the black rhino population by 35% since 2011 in South Africa. 

90% of the world’s population live in South Africa. 

That means the South African government has failed in its responsibility to protect this species. However they continue to promote the domestic trade in rhino horn.
