Ward County is working on their preliminary budget which has to be submitted by August 10. The final budget deadline is Oct 10th. The budget is paying for SVAS contract with the county. You can get detailed information about that contract from the Ward County auditor treasurers office at 857-6420.  PLEASE CONTACT your commissioners to have contact either overhauled for better service or have the county build new county shelter that will service the county strays/lost/found animals better than SVAS is currently doing. The amount of strays/dumped/lost/found has significantly increased in last 2 years and they have no where to go under current management at SVAS. Thank you!
