TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 – SECTION 77 APPLICATION MADE BY MEC LONDON PROPERTY 3 (GENERAL PARTNER) LIMITED AT FORMER LONDON TELEVISION CENTRE, 60-72 UPPER GROUND, LONDON SE1 9LT 

1. The Secretary of State (Michael Gove MP)  is considering the report of the Inspector, C Masters MA (Hons) FRTPI, who held a public local inquiry which opened on 31 August 2022 into the above planning application.

We  were previously informed that a decision on this case would be issued on or before 6 December 2023.

2. Further time is required to consider this case, and unfortunately it will not be possible for the Secretary of State to reach a decision on this application by 6 December. 

3. Therefore, in the exercise of the power conferred on him by paragraph 6(2) of Schedule 2 to the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, the Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he has varied the timetable previously set and he will now issue his decision on or before 6 February 2024.
