The Planning Application in respect of 72 Upper Ground (old ITV Studios) was approved by Lambeth Council on Tuesday 29 March 2022.

However, it is subject to the approval of the London Mayor, Sadiq Khan and a significant number of conditions need to be fulfilled.

Demolition cannot proceed in the South Bank Conservation Area without  full planning permission granted, which has not yet happened.

There are many reasons why it should not have been approved as laid out by Florence Eshalomi MP for Vauxhall.

Please take a look at Florence's letter at: https://florenceeshalomimp.com/2022/03/30/72-upper-ground/

There are a couple of things you can still do to help stop this application:

  1. Write to  Greater London Assembly Member Marina Ahmad and express your concerns about Lambeth’s decision email: Marina.Ahmad@london.gov.uk

and/or

  1. Write to Florence Eshalomi MP and tell her how you feel about the decision and ask Florence to do all within her power to ensure that the site is not redeveloped to the detriment of residents and visitors alike email: Florence.Eshalomi.mp@parliament.uk

Thank you for all that you are doing to support this campaign - it is making a difference and with your help we are determined to fight this all the way!
