Sophie in Breath?

I called the producers of Simon Baker's first Australian movie, Breath which it's based of Tim Winton's novel of the same name and asked them about is Sophie Monk are going to appear in this new Australian movie because she was in Sex And Death 101 with Simon Baker so they're said no to me when the same producers were busy with casting selection. Why does the Australian film producers and directors were not interesting in her to take part in their movie which it is Australian while they're working on in development or pre-production?
