Well, this has come as a surprise. It looks as though Sony still considers the Vita relevant, as they just released a new firmware update. Literally, they just released it. This morning I logged into the PlayStation Store via my Vita to purchase some games whilst waiting for a lecture to start. Upon returning home from university, I switched on my PSTV to download said games to my new memory card and am greeted by a message prompting me to update. The firmware must have only just been released. I haven't been able to find any information about online. I doubt firmware 3.68 will affect the PSVimgTools whitelist hack, but I cannot confirm that yet. It is worth noting that TheFlow has been hinting for a month about his new version of HENkaku that will work on firmware 3.67, which he hopes to release late this year or early next. For installing the Whitelist hack, HENkaku is pretty much obsolete. But it is still useful for installing Fake Camera and DSMotion to further expand the PSTV's compatibility. HENkaku also enables the ability to use USB thumb drives and SD cards via a simple adapter for storage, a nice alternative to the stupid expensive official Vita memory cards. It is most probable that the latest firmware update is Sony's response to The Flow's plans. Unfortunately, this means when The Flow does get round to releasing his new version of HENkaku, 3.67 will be outdated firmware. Meaning you'll be locked out of the PlayStation Network and the features it offers, not to mention not being able to play games requiring firmware 3.68 or higher. Still, in spite of some compatibility issues we should still be able to install the Whitelist using PSVimgTools. I see no reason why the 3.68 should disable the whitelist since it was simply a patched memory card backup. But, I'll be making a backup of my memory card before I update. I'll let you know how it goes. UPDATE 11 April 2018: I am happy to confirm that the PSVimgTools Whitelist hack still works on firmware version 3.68.
