It has been a while since the last update. During further research, I discovered that a small part of the updated petition mission statement, mentioned in the last update contained inaccurate information. After reviewing additional sources, I have corrected the wording to better reflect the current situation.
My apologies for the mistake. The main purpose of the petition remains unchanged: protecting consumer choice, ownership, preservation, and access to video games.

There has not been any major new information to update on. However, the debate around the issue continues to grow and gain more attention. There have also been more articles presenting a more positive view of Sony’s change and the move toward digital distribution as of lately and huge part of them are missleading. Fortunately, gamers have been able to point this out and bring more attention to the issue through comments on these articles.
