Hello All,
The Sonoma City Council will look to reinstate the stalled cannabis dispensary process, as well as consider permitting a second walk-in retail dispensary. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 16, 6 pm.
I will submit a revised version of my Index-Tribune Letter to the Editor as Public Comment for Monday night's City Council Meeting. I'd encourage others to contact the city council, as well, and ask the members to renew the process and move toward permitting two walk-in retail dispensaries. Keep it civil, please :-)

My Public Comment:
Subject: Re-ignite dispensary process
Now that Measure Y has failed, it becomes even more vital that the Sonoma City Council find a way to quickly renew the currently stalled process for a local dispensary.
In addition, the city’s ordinance should be amended to permit at least one additional walk-in retail dispensary. No single business should be allowed to monopolize the market space. Competition is a healthy part of any industry. It results in better prices, more product choices, higher quality products and innovative services. Consumers deserve no less.
Detail from the meeting Agenda:

Discussion, Consideration and Possible Action Regarding a Request For Council Discussion by Vice Mayor Rachel Hundley to Have the City Council Agendize the Consideration of a Resolution to Award a Conditional Certificate to SPARC (City Manager)
