Petition Update: Accountability, Not Silence
This petition continues to grow because people understand a simple truth: abuse should never be rewarded, and systems meant to protect children must not be misused to silence victims.

I am a survivor of long-term domestic abuse—physical, emotional, psychological, and financial. I was a full-time stay-at-home mother for over a decade. When I finally spoke out, the family-court system did not protect my children or me. Instead, it was used as a tool to punish the victim and reward the abuser.

This is not an isolated case. Too many parents—especially survivors, people with disabilities, and those without financial power—are pushed out of their children’s lives while abuse is minimized or ignored. Money, reputation, and legal tactics too often outweigh truth, safety, and accountability.

This petition calls for:

Accountability for abusers who misuse family court
Oversight of attorneys and judges who enable coercive control
Protection for children from being used as leverage
Equal justice regardless of disability, income, 
Systemic reform so victims are not punished for speaking out
Children deserve both parents when it is safe—not a system that rewards intimidation, silence, and manipulation.
