How Family Court Failed a Victim of Domestic Violence, Her Children, and a Parent with Disabilities
Petition Update
I want to share an important update with everyone who has signed and supported this petition.
I received formal letters from the California Commission on Judicial Performance confirming that my complaint regarding my family-court case was reviewed and then closed. The complaint was not dismissed because the harm did not occur, but because the Commission stated it does not have the authority to act when misconduct is carried out through “legal rulings.”
In other words, I was told that even when court decisions harm children, ignore domestic-violence evidence, and violate the rights of a parent with disabilities, there is no accountability through the existing oversight system.
This response confirms what so many families experience:
Oversight agencies decline responsibility
Appeals are blocked by deadlines and lack of resources
Survivors are told it is “too late” or “not enough evidence”
Children remain unprotected
These letters do not disprove my experience—they expose a systemic failure.
That is why this petition is about reform, not just one case. Family courts must be accountable. ADA protections must be enforced. Attorneys who enable abuse must face consequences. Children deserve safety, stability, and truth—not silence.
Please continue to sign, share, and speak out. Public pressure is essential to force oversight, transparency, and change.Justice for parents is justice for children.
